Admin Co-ordination Committee:-

Objectives:While the predominant activity in a Law School is imparting of a Legal Education, the activity would be incomplete without valuable support and co-ordination by the admin staff in carrying out routine and the extra-curricular activities moulding the students to be true professionals. To provide a congenial atmosphere too, the admin co-ordination committee is constituted

Jurisquest:-

Objectives: The Legal research Cell is constituted to train the students in research skills. The cell is involved in activities like Research and Publication, organizing Seminars, Guest Lectures etc. The Cell Co-ordinates in bringing about the college Annual Souvenir “Chiguru”  the window of creativity for the talents of students and teachers.

Mentor – The Career Guidance Cell:-

Objectives: The Career Guidance Cell is formed to guide students regarding career opportunities in legal field.  On 18^th February 2012, Mentor organized a campus selection for the pre-final and final year students in association with Clutch Group Global Legal Solutions in which nine students were selected. Few more recruitment events are scheduled in the month of April & May 2012. Mentor also assists in the placement/Internship programmes to the deserving and interested candidates in the areas of their interest.

Essay, Quiz, Debate and Cultural Committee:-

Objectives: While regular class room lectures give the students knowledge in the area of law, the co-curricular activities would give an opportunity for applying the knowledge acquired. Co-curricular activities are best suited for one’s exploration of creativity. With the twin objectives of enabling the students to apply the knowledge acquired and to think creatively, students are encouraged both in the college and outside to participate in Essay, Quiz, Debate and Cultural activities.

Students Social Forum:-

Objectives: To Inculcate effective and necessary skills to the students with the help of Professionals from Law and other different fields.

Agenda: The Forum aims to achieve the following

• To organise Guest Lectures
• To organise seminars and presentations
• To organise debates and other literal events
• To organise social events like blood donation camp in college, etc
• To organise rural visits
• And other events recommended by the Prinicpal

Modus Operandi

The interested students can become a member of the Forum by enrolling their names. Moderators are selected from the members. They would be taking initiative in organising events mentioned in the Agenda. The Moderators are selected by the members themselves.

The Moderators may be changed once every month. The activities of the Forum would be managed by the Moderators and the Members of the Forum.

The Forum would submit its half-yearly report to the Principal.

Disciplinary Committee:-

Objectives: While the children are nourished well, in a free atmosphere, it is a challenge to mould the character of young students. The college by ensuring the prevention of abuse of free environment Disciplinary Committee oversee the discipline among the students with free atmosphere for learning.

Grievance Redressal Cell for SC/ST Students:-

Objectives: The cell holds meeting of SC/ST students twice in a semester to know the concerns and the same are addressed suitably. In addition, in the beginning of each semester the notice is sent to such student giving them the knowledge of the existence of the committee with instructions to meet the faculty Co-ordinator for the concerns.

Sports Committee:-

Objectives: With object of ensuring overall development of a student in addition to regular class room lectures, the Co-curricular activities and Sports activities are encouraged to meet the idea of ‘sound mind lies in a sound body’. Regularly the committee conducts indoor and outdoor activities in the college and encourage outside participations.

NSS:-

Objectives: To meet the national agenda and also to develop social concern in the students of law who are aptly called social engineers, the college conduct NSS activities with the aid and assistance of Karnataka State Law University, Hubli.

Moot Court Committee:-

Objectives:

The committee intends to systematically promote, train, guide and coach students for Moot Court activities. The most significant objective of this committee is to impart moot court skills to further the academic excellence in the student community and to develop their advocacy skills in an environment of friendly competition.

Functions:

The committee is vested with the task to select, train and send students to various moot competitions at all levels. It also conducts workshops and seminars in this regard.

Mooting gives skills of interpretation and presentation, the ability to counter interrupt and to work in teams. To boost confidence, develop and inculcate the legal skills in students to win the battle in the lawyering profession, the college every year conducts Inter-class Moot Court Competition to select the students “Panel of Mooters”, to facilitate them to participate in various National and State level Moot Court Competitions.
